vuelvo a repetir por n-ésima vez... si ya no hace falta hacer un Custom Firmware porque se podrá cargar DE TODO desde uno Oficial, ya no hay necesidad de tocar la flash para nada, por lo tanto ya no hay bricks. de verdad os estáis liando demasiado...

Para tener un CFW permanente se necesita una custom ipl, la pre-ipl verifica que la ipl sea correcta, si se firma la ipl ésta pasaría todas las autenticaciones, osea que la pre-ipl no se necesita para nada. O almenos eso creo yo xD

Esto es lo mismo que habia pensado

Si tenemos una ipl cifrada (firmada) correcta, entonces no seria necesario descifrar la pre-ipl no? , esta simplemente verificaria la secuencia de arranque y que la ipl fuera correcta

bueno y cono todo esto habria posibilidad de volcar la pre-ipl de las placas malditas para usarla con el DC8 y poder asi reparar los bricks o instalar un CFW sin riesgo de brick en placas madiltas pspgo o 3000

Eso no es la firma..

HMAC-MD5 es el metodo de verificacion/aplicacion de la firma (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMAC, no lo he leido del todo ), pero en ningun caso es la firma. Y como dices, AES128CTR es el tipo de cifrado.

Será posible!!! Ni siquiera usan claves asimétricas!!! Por dios...
El uso de criptografia RSA con un buen taco de bits les hubiera salvado, a ver quien tiene huevos de encontrar la claves privada basándose en la pública... Es casi imposible.
No entiendo por qué lo han hecho así, sus razones tendrán no? Por cierto que las claves no se han publicado todavía verdad? Ni ninguna herramienta para firmar los EBOOT ni nada.... estoy ansioso... En mi caso le pueden dar por ahí al CFW, si puedo tener todos los homebrew firmados para qué un CFW!?
