I think it was gone is correct, but don't trust my english too much, I've learnt it on the net

Therefore it sound me strange

I would have written "it had gone"

I was thinking about :

"When I got to the stop, the bus had already gone" (Past Perfect Tense)

I didn´t know that "got to" expression could be used for "llegar"...and, really, past perfect tense sounds better

I didn´t know that "got to" expression could be used for "llegar"

It's common to say "to get to + a place", e.g, "how to get to Madrid" or "I got there" (without "to")

PS: Since it's for specific time, for instance, "I have just watched a TV-serie I haven't watched since May, 2000"

pspCaracas you use a lot the phrase "for instance" and it's correctly used but it's most commonly to say "for example", at least here (U.S.A) I didn't hear "for instance" so often.

I'm British...hahaha..."for instance" could be more formal. From now on, I will say "for example"
