When I came across Frets on Fire I read some reviews and forum’s faq, and one thing that really like me was the fact you can use a Guitar Hero’ s Guitar to play your songs. Well, the thing is that I finally got my Guitar Hero III bundle and here’s what you need to do to set it on Frets on Fire…

Installation

No needed. Just plug in the USB receiver and it will be ready. Just in case you want to know if it was detected, check your log executing tail -f /var/log/syslog:



Settings

By the default, Frets on Fire is set to work with a keyboard so you will need to map you Guitar Hero controller in Settings > Key Settings

It works on Linux and Windows (I guess on Mac too)

I can't play, i connected the guitar and the game don't recognize it. I have seen that your guitar is from a PS3, my guitar is from a 360. Can be that the problem?

The driver is for windows or not? 'Cause in Windows I can play without installing anything. My problem is in Ubuntu.
